| Poodle Skirt Cake! |
We weren't sure if we were going to make a homemade cake for the party, or buy one. However, we decided to get one custom made cake at Walmart because we couldn't figure out a 1950s cake that would be simple enough for us to make ourselves (the easiest to make would be a record shaped cake, but that would mean the whole thing would have black icing,and I don't think guests would appreciate their mouths being dyed black for the next week). At Walmart we decided to get a cake that is made out of chocolate and vanilla cupcakes, and then had icing that connected them all. They were shaped into a pink poodle skirt with a white poofy poodle wearing a pink bow. It was adorable- and delicious! Walmart bakery did such a great job! :)
